Cold Plate Jockey Boxes are designed to serve cold beer at events. The cold plate is solid aluminum with  Stainless Steel 1/4" tubing running inside.  Both in and out connections are stainless steel barbs.  Your beer never touches anything but stainless steel while running through the cold plate.  For a nominal amount more you can choose all stainless steel parts (tailpiece, shank, coupler and faucet) and have nothing but stainless and hose material every contact your beer.  Cold plates are not designed to dispense a hot get (kegs should never be allowed to get hot anyway!)  It is designed to take a cool keg (no warmer than 55 degrees Fahrenheit) and have it serve at around 36 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.  These work great for events or when a bar needs and additional temporary beer station for the night.  The cold plate should be elevated in the cooler (We sell a rack for this or you can build your own) and it should always be covered in pure ice without water.  If you have a regulator and CO2 already you can use yours.  We also offer optional CO2 supply with this product.

NOTES:

- When ordering couplers you need to also purchase the CO2 gas supply for the coupler.

- CO2 Gas Supply comes complete for Homebrew. Pick a coupler for commercial kegs. Read options carefully.

Owner Review, Had to share my experience with this product!

Posted by Todd Burns - Owner of Kegconnection on 21st Jan 2014

I have sold different types of Jockey boxes for years, so I had to try this new one after we listed it. The opening weekend of deer season I took one to deer camp and used it with a commercial keg. I have brought beer to this even most years, so everyone was not surprised by the keg, but they loved the Jockeybox. We had the beer chilled in a large trashcan and then had the line running to the jockey box. IT gave us the most consistent pour I have ever experienced. It had a perfect head and was always ice cold. We never had any foaming issues even when we first tapped the keg. This is my new favorite way to serve a keg at an event!
