Baltic Porter – Mini-Mash Extract Recipe Kit

This larger than life porter is unique in that it has it's heritage in an English Porter, which is an Ale, but this is a lager.  This beer is very big and bold with high alcohol and lots of flavor.  It has sweetness, bitterness, maltiness and Roastiness all in one beer.  This beer is good with a cigar around an open campfire.  It get's better with age (like some of us) and a keg will take you a long way.  Prost or Cheers?  Not sure which to use.

Baltic Porter - Extract Recipe Kit Instructions

Style Overview:
Originally created to be exported across the North Sea to the Baltic Trade, the Baltic Porter gets its roots from the English Porter. Unlike its sister porters, the Baltic was gradually transformed into a bottom-fermenting lager, as present tradition dictates. Strong, roasty, and hearty, the Baltic Porter clocks in at around 7-10%, making it a perfect treat for sitting around the fire
