Multiple hops in an IPA are great, but there is something to be said about this single hop variety as well.  Even though only one hop is uses you feel like it is more because as you add hops during the schedule (including a dry hoping four days in) you get to see what Centennial can contribute and where it can make the contribution.  This beer may be simple, but it is very good.  The alcohol content is around 6.4%, so you can have more than one.  It has a spicy, floral taste with a beautiful citrus aroma.  Simple pleasures!

Style Overview:
India Pale Ale came into the brewing scene as a measure in practicality actually. In the 1700s, sailers had trouble getting their beers to India due to the long voyage around the Cape of Good Hope. Brewers would add larger additions of hops, and increase the alcohol content, and thus, the beers could survive the voyage in a time before refrigeration and avoid being flat and sour upon arrival.
