So you want the taste of an IPA, you want to enjoy them all day with your buddies, but you don't want to be a fall risk? We have the answer. This Citrus Session IPA has wonderful citrus, grapefruit, orange flavors, without the copious amounts of alcohol usually associated with an IPA. This baby comes in at just under 4% ABV (Alcohol by Volume), but it has much the taste profile of it's big brothers.
This recipe utilizes "hop bursting" in which you add the hops later in the boil to accent the flavor and aroma without overwhelming beer with bitters. This is important in a session IPA because you do not have the malt backbone to counter the bitters. You can increase either the orange profile or the grapefruit profile by adding some peel scrapings to the last five minutes of the boil.
