So you want to have that refreshing, slightly skunky flavor of Corona without having to travel to Mexico (or even your local convenience store).  This is the perfect recipe for you.  Corona is a Pilsner as many Mexican beers are.  This is because many of the Mexican breweries were started by German immigrants, just like in the United States.  Many Mexican/German beers retained a lot of their German or European flavor (Negro Modelo, Bohemia, Dos Equis are some examples), but some like Corona went in the same direction as American Lagers.  They became lighter.  Corona has a very unique taste that most would agree comes from it's exposure to UV light because of it's traditional clear bottles.  You might even want to bottle this one in clear bottles to gain that unique profile.  I have heard that Corona actually exposes it's beer that is to be canned or kegged to UV so it will retain that slightly "skunky" flavor, but I have never been able to substantiate this rumor.  If you bottle this in clear bottles try bottling some in brown bottles and see if you can tell a difference over time.  We would love to hear your feedback!  Also, keep in mind that this is a lager and it is fermented at a lower temp and needs to go through a diacetyl rest.  We have documented this in the "Brewer's Notes" in the directions below...so read them. Salud!
