This is one of the better know Mexican Pilsners, largely due to the amazing advertising campaign around "the most interesting man in the world".  This beer is refreshing and often accompanied by a lime and salt, like many Mexican lagers.  It is the perfect beer on a hot day at the beach.  This beer was originally developed by Wilhelm Haase, a German Immigrant to Mexico.  This is very typical of German breweries which were largely set up and run by German brewmaster's. The name comes from the beer being developed at the turn-of-the-century and the XX stands for 20th Century.  Many German pilsners were lightened over the years with the addition of corn syrup. You see this with American loggers as well.  As a lager, this beer must be fermented at a cooler temperature, then put through a diacetyl rest and then cold crashed.
