This is a beer near and dear to our hearts at  Our marketing director Joshua talked about it so much on our podcast we had to institute a ban.  All joking aside, this Founders beer is amazing and this is us paying homage to the beer. (sorry Joshua, I am about to switch to first person...I know how you love that)   

I am writing this review at the end of the day, so I just poured one of these into a tulip stout glass, swirled it around and filled my nostrils with the smell of chocolate, coffee and alcohol. First I have to admire that beautiful creamy head. Hey, I like all three of these!  Now I am taking a taste and low and behold, I get the same three flavors. I also appreciate the wonderful mouthfeel that the flaked oats provide.  There are so many different malts in this beer that you taste layers.  It is a strong beer, so you have to pace yourself, but what an experience!  Please read the "brewers Notes" in the instructions below before brewing.  There are a lot of special instructions.  If you are really kind, send Joshua a bottle, you will be his new best friend..., the owner and chief keg washer, Todd
