In January of 2011 President Obama purchased a homebrewing kit and ordered his chefs to brew the first beer ever brewed at the White house (as far as we know). Other presidents brewed beer, but not in the White House. This beer used fresh honey from the South Lawn. The beer was served at various events , including a Super Bowl party. It was also the beer Marine Corp Medal of Honor winner, Sergeant Dakota Meyer drank with Obama the patio of the Oval Office.
The beer itself is light, somewhat sweet, due to the honey and easy to drink. This is a beer that someone that is not normally a beer connoisseur will probably enjoy as well. So "Cheers" or better yet "Ale to the Chief"!
