Red IPA - Mini-Mash Extract Recipe Kit

This Red IPA has characteristics of an American Red Ale, but it it much hoppier and boozier.  It has a nice balance with a dry finish.  It makes a very nice subversion of an IPA and is a great winter beer.  The Caramel Malts add the toffee/caramel flavors you would expect and the Midnight Wheat adds color without significant bitter like some other black malts.  It also adds a bit of a toasty flavor.  The 6.5% to 7% alcohol by volume with fill your heart with holiday cheer.  We brewed this beer for our company Christmas party one year and we have never gotten along better.
