Strong Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy) All-Grain Recipe Kit

(No reviews yet) Write a Review

Our Strong Scotch Ale, also know as a Wee Heavy, is dominated by malt flavor, but it is sweet with notes of toffee, toast and some bitter from not only the hops, but the Roasted Barley.  This is a big beer with a whopping 8.5% alcohol by volume, so it is actually more than a wee bit heavy.  You can think of it as the Scottish Barley wine.  "If it ain't Scottish, it's crap!" and this is very Scottish.  Please read the "Brewer's Notes" below before brewing this beer for additional information.
