The Weizenbock is a wheat beer that shares similarities with a hefeweizen, a dunkelweizen and a bock. Think of it as a burlier version of a hefeweizen with a bready, fruity flavor. The alcohol in this one is in the 7% range and that contributes to the flavor as well. The aroma is delightful with fruit, clove and banana present. Fermenting the beer over 65 degrees brings out the banana esters.
