    Works incredibly well!

Posted by Veronica Gann on 25th Jan 2023

Coming from a BIAB background I wanted to try a 3 vessel type system that was affordable but worked well. I chose this and the results were just fantastic. Even though I already had a good idea of how to use it the video really helped. Both coolers keep the heat really well and my efficiency was better than expected. It takes a little while to get use to screwing the lids on and off because of a tight fit. What I did was add a little keg lube on the outside threads and turned the lids back and forth several times and eventually they loosened it up enough to make it easier to get off and on. I like the fact that I can sparge a couple different ways with this system and I don't have to hoist a heavy bag like when doing the BIAB method. For the price and quality this system can't be beat.

    Nice Equipment

Posted by Logan on 12th Dec 2019

I have not used the equipment yet as I just received a couple days back. It seems like quality and I look forward to brewing my first all-grain batch with it.

The only reason I took off a star on the rating is because for someone who has never had this type of setup, it was a bit difficult to know which tank was which (different bulkheads), and which barb goes with which tank. The main reason I was confused is because it comes with a 3/8" barb and a 1/2" barb. I feel like the kit should come with an additional 3/8" barb - one for the inside of the mash tun to hook up to the false bottom, and one for the HLT outlet for connecting the sparge hose. Since it only came with 1 3/8" barb, I had to order an additional one separately.

Also - shout out to the KegConnection team for giving me a courtesy call before shipping as my kit had a special running where it came with a beer kit, and they were out of a particular hop that it called for. They asked if I wanted to wait or if I could give them the 'ok' to replace with a comparable hop. I was happy to see that the replacement was an even better hop variety than the original!

great way to go all grain

Posted by Solid on 30th Mar 2019

Really good equipment to start your all-grain adventure. I've used it 3 times now, and it's all worked really well. It was initially confusing for me, and I do think it could benefit from an instruction sheet (even an electronic one) explaining the connections. If you're experienced with all grain, it's very straight-forward. If you're a newbie, though, it's confusing. I was confused and sure that something was missing, but kudos to the KegConnection guys for quickly responding to my e-mail and explaining. I'm now a big fan of this equipment! THANKS!
