Cornelius Keg "or Firestone", 5 Gallon, Ball Lock - Pepsi Style for Homebrew/Soda, Used | CLEANED

(38 reviews) Write a Review

We are currently out of stock on these kegs. We do offer a lot of other incredibly good kegs available here -

This is a re-conditioned 5 gallon ball lock, soda keg.  They are sometimes called "corny kegs" because of the manufacturer, Cornelius, but they can be made by several manufactures including Firestone, AEB, and others.  These kegs have been cleaned and pressure tested using the following process:

  • Rinsed out with water on the inside and sprayed on the outside.
  • Soaked in a hot "Brew Clean" solution for about an hour with poppet valves depressed to fill dip tubes with cleaning solution. Then re-rinsed.
  • The keg is then pressurized and soap tested for leaks, then left for several days and re-tested for pressure before shipping.
  • If you keg has a "sweet" smell when you open it this is normal.  This smell comes from the residual "Brew Clean" cleaner, NOT from soda. Just rinse the keg and sanitize again before kegging.

These kegs ship under our flat rate shipping (some of our competitors exclude kegs from free or reduced flat rate shipping programs).

These kegs come with their original O-rings AND a new set of O-rings at no additional charge (some competitors charge up to $3.99 for this new set of O-rings)  This O-ring set includes Lid O-ring, two post O-rings and two dip-tube O-rings.

Please remember that these are used kegs.  They will have dings, dents, stickers on the outside and could have some permanent staining that will not effect your beer.  The tops and bottoms may have black material coming off that will leave black marks on your hands or other areas. This is due to sun exposure and is very common in used kegs. If you want a perfect keg we sell new kegs as well.

Again - these are used kegs and are returnable but you will pay the shipping to return them.

    Much better than I expected

I recently ran out of available ball lock kegs and even though I looked at the "normal: online sites for used ones locally, I simply couldn't find any. I have been a listener of Homebrew Happy Hour for a long time and figured I'd place my first order. I couldn't be happier. Great quality kegs, some spare o-rings and at a price, shipped, that beats what I would have paid used locally.

    Used keg

The keg showed up in 3 days after I placed the order. It’s a used keg, it shows it. It is a little rough to look at but appears to be sound, they sent extra o rings with it and I plan on brewing something this weekend to put into it.

Not the prettiest keg I’ve ever owned, but seems to be functional.

    Great Used Keg

This keg works as expected. It does have visible wear since it is a used keg. It also had old stickers on the keg but I was able to peel them off.

It was clean inside and a simple water rinse was all I needed to do before sanitizing it and storing home brewed beer in it. Hooked it into C02 with no problem. No leaks. Works great!

    Used Keg

Kegs were pressurized upon arrival. In rough shape, needed interior cleaning, still a good value. I was spoiled by the excellent kegs I had received in the past and finally got the dented up average kegs I paid for. Fast shipping, good price.

    Worth it

Wont win a beauty contest by any means but shows up to the door holding pressure and also comes with brand new set of O rings. Cheapest I've found for 5 gallon ball locks

    Quality for the price

I ordered two of these kegs in addition to the single keg starter kit. Two of the three have dents along the top below the handles so I'd assume those two are these. The bottoms and handles are all there and not loose at all. They hold pressure and came with extra o rings.
