This regulator guage cage is heavy guage metal with a black powder coat finish and comes with a bolt to attach it to your Taprite regulator.
This will only fit a taprite regulator.

Unlike the other reviewers, mine is perfectly symetrical and fits great. I agree that it could use a tad more protection to the front (face of the guaues) but in general that should not be an issue. It's certainly protected from any tip over accident. It just comes with a bolt and flat washer that screw into the back of the regulator. Since the bolt is kind of short; rather than add a lock washer, I decided to add a couple drops of the "blue" (removeable) lock-tite to the threads. I don't forsee any issues, but this should keep it from loosening up from general use or being banged around a little.
Item is very sturdy, heavy gauge steel, and bolts up nicely. Like the other reviewer said they aren't perfectly symmetrical but are strong enough that it shouldn't matter. If something narrow slammed directly into the face of the gauge(s) you will still probably suffer damage but for tip overs and general protection it's a nice safety design. I have two of them now. By the way Kegconnection has the best price for them that I could find as well.
If you have a portable tank... chances are that it is going to get knocked over. Those gauges stand without protection and will get damaged... do yourself a favor and protect your investment. I wish that they came standard on gauges I bought... Now that I have been there and replaced a damaged gauge... I am trying to help those who haven't hit that road yet. (Four stars because it isn't a perfect symmetrical fit). Still.. would buy it again.
