We are currently out of stock on these kegs. We do offer a lot of other incredibly good kegs available here - https://www.kegconnection.com/ball-lock/

This is a re-conditioned 5 gallon ball lock, soda keg.  They are sometimes called "corny kegs" because of the manufacturer, Cornelius, but they can be made by several manufactures including Firestone, AEB, and others.  These kegs have been cleaned and pressure tested using the following process:

  • Rinsed out with water on the inside and sprayed on the outside.
  • Soaked in a hot "Brew Clean" solution for about an hour with poppet valves depressed to fill dip tubes with cleaning solution. Then re-rinsed.
  • The keg is then pressurized and soap tested for leaks, then left for several days and re-tested for pressure before shipping.
  • If you keg has a "sweet" smell when you open it this is normal.  This smell comes from the residual "Brew Clean" cleaner, NOT from soda. Just rinse the keg and sanitize again before kegging.

These kegs ship under our flat rate shipping (some of our competitors exclude kegs from free or reduced flat rate shipping programs).

These kegs come with their original O-rings AND a new set of O-rings at no additional charge (some competitors charge up to $3.99 for this new set of O-rings)  This O-ring set includes Lid O-ring, two post O-rings and two dip-tube O-rings.

Please remember that these are used kegs.  They will have dings, dents, stickers on the outside and could have some permanent staining that will not effect your beer.  The tops and bottoms may have black material coming off that will leave black marks on your hands or other areas. This is due to sun exposure and is very common in used kegs. If you want a perfect keg we sell new kegs as well.

Again - these are used kegs and are returnable but you will pay the shipping to return them.

    Just as I expected!

Arrived quickly and is the perfect addition to my leg collection. Came with a few stickers that were easy to remove and the typical scratches and dings on the outside associated with a used keg. Inside looked clean and in great condition and held pressure. Yet again happy with the purchase from kegconnection and am excited to fill it up.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased kegs from Keg Connection and once again I couldn't be happier! Price is great, shipping is amazing and fast, and the kegs themselves are a lot better than I have found elsewhere. This is how you keep your customers happy!

This is the second time over ordered legs from keg connection and I'm always impressed. Yes these are used kegs, but they always come better than described and better than those I've seen offered locally. Great customer service and quick shipping!

    exactly as advertised

I got what I paid for. It was dented in a few places around the bottom and the top. Tons of stickers but I always expect that with used ones at this price.

Good thing is that it had no syrup and looked clean. I have bought used ones at other websites and they are filthy. I cleaned it again just to be sure then sanitized it. Holds a seal and works.. you cant ask for more than this at 50 bucks plus flat rate shipping.

Five gallon Cornelius keg received, as advertised

Posted by Dave Epelone on 28th Aug 2014

My used 5 gallon 'Corny' keg arrived yesterday. The unit has several dents and dings (as advertised) but is otherwise sturdy and intact. The handle and base are in good shape. I like that it came with an extra set of gaskets so I'll be setting it up for its' first use quite soon.

Good keg, holds pressure. Bad handle.

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Apr 2014

Got a ball lock keg a few months ago and it holds pressure and serves up beer just fine. The only problem is that the rubber handle is almost completely torn off. It's been glued back on, but when I give it a hot water soak, the glue loosens up quite a bit. to be safe, I have to carry the keg without using the handle. Not a big deal in the long run, but with a bad back, I try to avoid carrying heavy items awkwardly.

Awesome deal! Good kegs! Fast shipping!

I ordered a 3 keg kit along with the 3 corresponding ball lock kegs. The hardware kit was top notch, awesome. Works great, made well, no complaints there. The used kegs were as advertised. I can't fault them at all as they do sell new ones for twice the price. However, just be aware some of these kegs are very used. Small dings and dents, one or two of mine had the rubber tops or bottoms definitely glued back on. All were holding pressure when they arrived. A couple leaked from the posts, but that was an easy fix with some keg lube after the first time I thoroughly cleaned it. Overall, having homebrew on tap remedied some off flavors I was getting in the bottling and lets you go from grain to glass in a fraction of the time it takes for bottling. Definitely recommend.
