We are currently out of stock on these kegs. We do offer a lot of other incredibly good kegs available here - https://www.kegconnection.com/ball-lock/

This is a re-conditioned 5 gallon ball lock, soda keg.  They are sometimes called "corny kegs" because of the manufacturer, Cornelius, but they can be made by several manufactures including Firestone, AEB, and others.  These kegs have been cleaned and pressure tested using the following process:

  • Rinsed out with water on the inside and sprayed on the outside.
  • Soaked in a hot "Brew Clean" solution for about an hour with poppet valves depressed to fill dip tubes with cleaning solution. Then re-rinsed.
  • The keg is then pressurized and soap tested for leaks, then left for several days and re-tested for pressure before shipping.
  • If you keg has a "sweet" smell when you open it this is normal.  This smell comes from the residual "Brew Clean" cleaner, NOT from soda. Just rinse the keg and sanitize again before kegging.

These kegs ship under our flat rate shipping (some of our competitors exclude kegs from free or reduced flat rate shipping programs).

These kegs come with their original O-rings AND a new set of O-rings at no additional charge (some competitors charge up to $3.99 for this new set of O-rings)  This O-ring set includes Lid O-ring, two post O-rings and two dip-tube O-rings.

Please remember that these are used kegs.  They will have dings, dents, stickers on the outside and could have some permanent staining that will not effect your beer.  The tops and bottoms may have black material coming off that will leave black marks on your hands or other areas. This is due to sun exposure and is very common in used kegs. If you want a perfect keg we sell new kegs as well.

Again - these are used kegs and are returnable but you will pay the shipping to return them.

    very convenient, clean keg

Posted by Joseph Richards on 12th Jan 2014

After reading reviews of various reconditioned kegs, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a gleaming steel product with only the slightest dings and scratches to hint that this was not a new product. I have yet to open it up to inspect inside, but it arrived pressurized and is holding it well. I trust that it will be cleaned as promised. It's more affordable than a new keg, and while a few bucks more than used kegs at other places, the convenience of knowing you'll get a clean keg out of the box is well worth it, especially for a first-time keg user.

    good kegs

The kegs came shipped fine and in tact. Actually still holding gas. So far all three seem to work fine. Only two small issues. Immediately had to replace one of the orings on the out fiiting of one keg. No problem they came with spares. One of the kegs the fittings were very hard to get off to sanitize. Although better than leaking. I would suggest ad part of this kit you include the food grade oring lube it is difficult to find locally.

Satisfied overall. Work great in kegerator
