This is a re-conditioned 5 Gallon Pin Lock, Soda Keg (Coke style). This keg has been cleaned and soaked in a hot "Brew Clean" solution, re-rinsed, lubed and re-pressurized to check the seals. The kegs are in good shape, but could have small dings, dents or scratches. The lid features a gasket seal and a static pressure release valve. These will not effect the function of the kegs. Many have stickers on the outside. They might be of either Cornelius, Firestone (also called Spartenburg) or Italian construction. All types of kegs are manufactured to the same specifications and are of the same quality. The lids and O-rings are interchangeable. - Many people prefer pin lock kegs when using in shorter Fridge or areas where height is important. They 22" tall and 9" Wide.
Please remember that these are used kegs. They will have dings, dents, stickers on the outside and could have some permanent staining that will not effect your beer. If you want a perfect keg we sell new kegs as well.

Great Looking/Functioning Kegs
This is my second time ordering from Keg Connection. My first was when I first started kegging and got a kit with 2 Perlic taps and 3 kegs. I've purchased 2 more kegs from another source and they were not nearly as nice as the ones I got from KC, so I went back this year for another 2. SUPER happy with the look and function of these kegs. Shinny - not too beat up. Posts look great. Poppets work well. New gaskets in a pouch plus the original gaskets too - that all work fine and are in great condition. How can you beat this? You can't.

Check your post o-ring
Ok, i have always been very happy with kegconnection, but be warned as the o-rings that came with the pin lock keg were for ball lock. If you use them gas will leak and empty your co2 cylinder.

Great Keg, Great Price
I'm just getting into kegging and I struggled with the ball lock vs pin lock debate, too. I decided to go with pin lock since it seemed like ball locks were harder to find (and quite a bit more expensive). The only issue I could find was bleeding the pressure, which is easily done by pressing a screwdriver into the center of each post. The other issue I've come across is removing the posts. Since they have the pins, you can't use a standard socket to remove them. I've read about other people taking a 3/16 socket and cutting grooves into it with a Dremel tool, and others who had a socket big enough to fit over the nut and pins (although I'd worry about damaging the pins doing that). Of course, they sell a socket specifically for this, so you might want to consider purchasing one of those if you're just starting out, too. As for the keg itself, it's in very good condition -- better than I expected. No stickers, and what I'd call normal wear and tear on the outside. It came "clean" and pressurized (there was still some soda residue, but I expected that; just be careful when you bleed the pressure since it'll probably spray out). Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and will definitely buy from here again.

Great Deal
I struggled with the decision to go with Ball or Pin Lock kegs, but decided to get the most bang for my buck and get the pin locks. They arrived in great shape, pressurized, and clean. Will definitely buy my next kegs here!

Cheap, Clean and Efficent
These guys are the only ones who will clean out the keg first before sending it to you with out charging an extra arm and a leg. They have my business for sure.
